My Second Swim Meet

I went to my second swim meet last Saturday. I wasn't as nervous as the first swim meet.
I made new friends, and I got to compete in different events and do different strokes!!
In my first swim meet, we were going against the Fairfield. We won!! : )
And in my second swim meet, we were against Cheshire. (the state champions!!) We lost. : (
My next swim meet is on December 1st. We are against East Hartford.
But it doesn't matter if I win or lose. My team is called the VSYM.
It stands for the Valley Shore YMCA, but I don't know why they took out the CA in YMCA.
Maybe it wouldn't fit. Oh well!!! I still had a WHOLE lot of fun!!!

Webkinz World!!

Last weekend, my dad bought me a Webkinz. A Webkinz is a small stuffed animal. It always has a tag on it that has a secret code inside. Then, when you get home, you have to go on the computer to www.webkinz.com and make an account. But you need to buy a Webkinz before you can make an account. I have three Webkinz. I have a chihuahua, a bulldog, and a pig. I got my chihuahua at Mystic Aquarium. They have these little stores where you can buy food, clothes, and toys. I got my bulldog at Fuzziwig's Candy Factory. My dad bought it for me. I got my pig from Fuzziwig's Candy Factory too. It wasn't for me, it was for my cousin. But we made a deal. She will keep the pig, and I will take care of it on the computer.

Washington D.C.

Last month, I went to Washington D.C. with my family.
We went there because my dad has this conference every year. If he goes, he gets this free hotel room wherever he goes. Usually, we go every year. But last year, it was in Las Vegas.
So we didn't go. Washington D.C. was really fun! We saw the Washington Monument, the White House, and we went to a lot of museums. We also did a lot of WALKING!! Every day we got so tired!!! But my dad didn't get to do a lot of stuff with us. He had to go to his meetings almost every day. He only went with us to the National Spy Museum. But he had a good time!!
When we saw the White House, we couldn't go in it. And I thought we were going to meet the President of The United States of America!!!! Anyway, I had a really great time!!

Doveloping Film with my Dad

Today my dad and I developed film. We were developing pictures from when my mom and dad went on vacation to Morocco. My dad has a watch the you can time things with.
So we used his watch to twirl film every minute. The film was in a developing tank.
Then after we developed the film, we had to take the film out of the developing tank and hang it so it will dry. We hung it in the closet. Then I wrote a sign saying "Keep out!! Daddy's film developing!!! After that, we wrote in my dad's notebook about what we did and what chemicals we used to develope the film. Then we wrote our comments. Then we waited for about an hour to let the film dry in the closet. After it drys, my dad scans the pictures to see if they came out right.
If they do, then my dad can make prints of the pictures. I love developing film!!

Summer Vacation!!

For summer Vacation, my grandma, aunt, and cousin are coming to United States all the way from Malaysia. I think they moved to Malaysia last year. They used to live in the Philippines.
Anyway, my family and I are going to take them to a lot of places because it's their first time coming to the United States!! We can take them to the beach, the aquarium, and lots of other places!! I am really excited for them to come. My school has a summer camp during summer vacation. I usually go there every year. But this year I am not going because my grandma, aunt, and cousin are coming to the United States. In my backyard, we have a badminton court.
And we are going to teach them how to play. I have a huge backyard! We can also bring our bikes and go to the park. We will have barbecues in the backyard. My aunt and my cousin are staying
for about one or two months. But my grandma is staying for about three or four months.
My brother's birthday is in August. But we are celebrating it in July because my aunt and cousin are only staying until July. I know we will have so much fun with them!!

School Sickness

Last weekend, my mom and dad went to Morocco.
They were gone for a week. I stayed with my mom's friend. Then I got sick in school and I had to go to the nurse's office. The nurse took my temperature and it was 101. I was sent home and I couldn't go back to school for 24 hours because I had a fever. But I ended up not going to school for the rest of the week. I think I got the sickness from my mom's friend's son. He didn't go to school for the rest of the week either. I think I'm better already but I'm only a little sick. I take tylenol every 4 hours. And every time I take it, I'm getting better and better. So I don't think I'm sick anymore. I'm going to Target with my mom's friend today because I have a gift card of 30 dollars. I don't know what I'm going to get yet because there are a lot of things to choose from!!
